"In the face of the courage a child displays, you can only bow your head and resolve to be a better person.
WHEN one of my former lecturers gave me the opportunity to volunteer at a children’s ward in a hospital, little did I know that I would embark on an amazing journey filled with compassion, discovery, and hope.
My job involved setting up the hospital’s playroom and organising a session of fun and games for hospitalised children. Generally, the kids watched cartoons or coloured. Sometimes, when the numbers were manageable, I would teach them origami or read to them."
